Since in the world of informatics one learns much more by example than by
discourse or lecture, the contents of this directory may prove useful for
those who find themselves hacking at the technical problems of installing
and configuring a cluster of remotely-booted nodes. You will find here a
library of examples of the configuration files which are needed in such a
setup, both for the cluster server and for the clients, or nodes.

The set of example configuration files is quite complete in what concerns
the basic system setup of the server and of the nodes, for their roles in
the cluster, but there is no claim that every single file you may need in
your particular case will be found here. If you do find one that applies
to your case, simply copy it and adapt it for your own purposes.

The files will all be found in their appropriate places within the system
directory tree of the server, starting at this directory, which plays the
role of the root of the server. The system structure of the compute nodes
will be found within the directory pmc/, that of the X11 terminals within
the directory trm/. The files contain a standard set of system data meant
just as an example, including hostnames, IP addresses, etc.

The names of the files consist of lower-case letters in almost all cases,
but extensions after a dot, with upper-case letters and digits, have been
added in some cases in order to indicate particularities of each example,
such as whether it applies to the case of compute nodes or to the case of
X11 terminals. Sometimes there are numbers indicating progressively more
complex examples of the same configuration file.

There are also some empty directories that were left in this tree just to
indicate where they should go in the directory tree of the server.
